Show Description: Convergence is a series of paintings by Durham-based artist, Hannah Joy Lehman, where she expounds upon her typical separation of styles – some botanical, and some abstract – by exploring a world where the two co-exist. As part of Hannah’s provisional artist body of work for Liberty Arts, Convergence invites the viewer into unique worlds that are formed by playful line work, vibrant colors, and allusions to nature.
Artist Bio: Hannah Joy Lehman (she/her) is a mixed-media, abstract artist who resides in Durham, NC. Her creativity began at a young age, though she was especially provoked to a devoted art practice when COVID hit. Her work is centered around color play, botanical depiction, and abstract mark-making. Hannah aspires to use art as a tool for facilitating human connection and healing, particularly focusing on the queer and marginalized communities of Durham.
